Noel and Liam Gallagher made their first joint public appearance in over 15 years on Monday evening, attending the UK premiere of the new documentary Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger at Cineworld Leicester Square.
The event on 7 September 2026 followed the film’s world premiere at the Venice Film Festival earlier this month. The brothers, whose high-profile reconciliation led to the “Oasis Live ’25” reunion tour, were seen together on the red carpet ahead of the documentary’s nationwide cinema release this Wednesday.
Directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, with a script from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, the film provides a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s return to the stage. It follows the reunion tour, including rehearsal footage and personal accounts from the band and crew.
What the documentary reveals
The centrepiece of the film is the first joint interview between the Gallagher brothers since the band’s acrimonious split in 2009. Directors Lovelace and Southern described the final segment of the film as “incredibly candid,” noting that the pair were surprisingly emotional when discussing their years apart and the process of reuniting.
While previous documentaries have focused on the band’s 1990s peak, this production is dedicated to the 2025 reunion. It addresses the logistical challenges of the tour and the brothers’ personal relationship during their time on the road.
