Rocks Win at Canvey Island

Jamie Howell steered the rampant Rocks to a 4-0 win at Canvey Island today to keep them top of the Ryman Premier League.

Goals from James Fraser, Jimmy Muitt (pictured) and a brace from Elijah Adebayo were enough to snatch the victory and keep Bognor at the summit.

The crucial triumph came on a day when second-placed Needham Market — who Rocks beat 2-1 midweek — hammered third-placed Havant 3-0.

Fraser pounced after just three minutes to open the scoring and Muitt doubled the advantage just before half-time.

Then Adebyao, on loan from Championship Fulham, scored his second goal in a Rocks shirt to make it 3-0 after 54 minutes and his third came for 4-0 on 71 minutes, front of a crow of 407..
