Ex-nurse from Bognor charged with sexual assaults on hospital patients

Bognor Regis man Stephen Board has been charged with sexual assaults on patients at two hospitals when he worked as a nurse.

Board, 66, now unemployed, of Linden Road, Bognor, is due to appear at Worthing Magistrates Court on Tuesday 29 November.

He is charged with three offences of sexual assault on a woman then aged 78 at St Richards Hospital in Chichester on 10 December last year; with four offences of sexual assault on a woman then aged 34 at Worthing Hospital on 7 February 2008; and with two offences of sexual assault on a woman then aged 19 at Worthing Hospital on 28 January 2006.

The charges follow an investigation by detectives from the West Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit.
