A young man needed hospital treatment after being viciously attacked outside Bognor Regis rugby club, say police.

Now detectives are appealing for witnesses to the assaulter the Hampshire Avenue clubhouse, which took place between 11.45pm and midnight on Monday 12 June.

The victim, a 22-year-old man from Worthing, was meeting with friends when the attack happened. He suffered a black eye, bloodied nose, bruising to his back and a cut leg. He went to Worthing Hospital for treatment.

Police ask that anyone who saw what happened or who has information about those involved is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
