Fans of the gothic action series Castlevania can now download the 1986 original for free on mobile devices as Konami marks the 40th anniversary of the franchise. The offer, which runs until 24 October 2026, allows players to permanently keep the classic title in their digital library once claimed.
The anniversary celebration coincides with the announcement of a brand-new entry in the series, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. A playable demo for the new title is scheduled to launch on 1 October 2026, ahead of its full release on 15 October 2026.
The free mobile version of the original game is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Users who download the mobile game before the deadline can keep and play it permanently. To secure the game, users must add it to their account before 24 October 2026.
