The BBC has confirmed that the highly anticipated second series of The Celebrity Traitors will premiere on Thursday 1 October 2026. Fans of the psychological reality show will be treated to an extended 75-minute special to open the season, which was filmed earlier this year at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
The series, which sees famous faces split into “Faithfuls” and “Traitors” in a battle of deception and deduction, is set to air twice weekly on Thursday and Friday nights at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer. Following the success of the first celebrity outing, which saw comedian Alan Carr take the victory as a solo Traitor, the 2026 edition features a fresh roster of 21 contestants competing for a charity prize pot of up to £100,000.
Among the confirmed cast are award-winning actors Michael Sheen, Richard E. Grant, and Bella Ramsey. They are joined by a diverse group of public figures including West Sussex’s own Romesh Ranganathan. Ranganathan, a prominent comedian and presenter who was born and raised in Crawley, is expected to be a central figure in the new series as he swaps the stage for the intense atmosphere of the Highlands.
The production at Ardross Castle concluded in June 2026, and the second series is expected to introduce new dynamics to the gameplay following the high-stakes drama of the 2025 run.
The main broadcast will be immediately followed by the spin-off programme, The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, on BBC One. The companion show features interviews with banished and “murdered” contestants, alongside expert analysis of the latest tactics used within the castle walls.
