Point in right direction! TV star Christopher Timothy and wife Annie to open Rose Green charity shop

The Point

Actor Christopher Timothy and his artist wife Annie will formally open The Point charity shop in Rose Green, Bognor Regis, on Saturday 22 July at 11am.

The Point is seen as a vital resource for physically disabled adults from 18 to 50 years of age that provides leisure and social opportunities. It enables its members to interact with others and to take part in group activities, helping to prevent isolation and raising self-esteem.

The second of The Point’s charity shops, the Rose Green shop in Avisford Terrace has already proved to be a popular resource with the local community and is generating much-needed funds for the Chichester-based charity. The celebrity couple will declare the shop open at 11am on Saturday by cutting a ribbon and saying a few words.

Christopher has long-since been one of the nation’s favourite actors. As well as starring in numerous television shows, including the classic series All Creatures Great and Small and the medical drama Doctors, he has also enjoyed a career as a highly regarded stage actor. Recently he joined the cast of prime time soap opera EastEnders, playing the character Ted Murray.

Annie is a critically acclaimed artist. Fascinated by the skies, seascapes and landscapes of the South Downs, her work has been extensively shown, including exhibitions at the Royal Academy and The Troubadour, London.

Manager at The Point, John Watson, said: “We are looking forward to declaring our new shop open and we are delighted that Chris and Annie have agreed to do the honours. Everyone is really looking forward to meeting them.”
