Bognor can go back to the top of the table with a win over mid-table Kingstonian at Nyewood Lane tomorrow night.

Jamie Howell’s misfiring Rocks suffered a setback with a surprise 2-0 defeat at the hands of Hendon at home on Saturday — and saw Calvin Davies sent off late on to compound the misery.

Rivals Havant, who raided the Rocks for attackers Jason Prior and Alfie Rutherford in the summer, sit at the top of the Ryman Premier League table.

But they are without a game until Saturday so Rocks can move up from second spot if they can record a victory.

Howell’s troops travel to face Tonbridge Angles this coming Saturday.

Meanwhile, Pagham host SCFL leaders Shoreham on Saturday in a keenly anticipated top of the table clash. Lions officials are offering former players free entrance to the match.

And with the Rocks away, Pagham hope to see Bognor fans cheering on the Lions.

Spokesman Darren King said:

“It should be a lively encounter and we welcome supporters old and new. With Bognor away it’s a great chance for fans to come down and see we play good football and there is loads of appeal for local football fans.”

“It’ll be great to see old faces who used to represent the club and with entry free to ex-players we hope to enjoy a good day all round.”
