And so it is perhaps no surprise that Katrina’s decision to take over the management of the Bognor Regis estate agents was greeted so enthusiastically.
Amiable Katrina admits her feet haven’t touched the ground in the three months since she took over at Martin & Co, the UK’s leading property franchise specialist, in the town. It’s been a hectic yet ultimately successful transition and transformation at the Aldwick Road offices.
Displaying an admirable grasp of the conviction that agents should adapt, evolve and move with the times, the first thing she did was to extensively refurbish the offices, internally and externally. What now greets clients is a light, airy office with a modern feel and yet, rather fittingly, a homely touch is retained.
Katrina’s wealth of industry knowledge emanates from more than 20 years in the business and serves well the established clients who rely on Martin & Co’s excellent letting service and those who are, increasingly, turning to the company for sales.
She explains: “I worked here for 10 years or so before taking over and the response has has been overwhelmingly positive. There were lots of congratulations aimed our way and that was incredibly heartening.
“Although a lot has evolved with a renewed sense of drive to take the business forwards, the core values have remained, of course. I am very proud of what we have been able to do, and certainly very excited about the future.
“It means we serve our existing clients in the first-class fashion to which they have become accustomed and we are also embracing more modern aspects of the business.
“The lettings side of the business is predominantly at the forefront of what we do here but we have plans to expand on sales, too. The bottom line is that customer care is vital to us and, rest assured, that will certainly continue to be the case.”
It is very much a family affair at Martin & Co, with Katrina’s son Kraig Evans working as the company’s principle accounts manager and Megan flourishing in the role of negotiator.
