Overjoyed Stephanie Scott has told of her relief after her stolen puppy Barney was returned safe and sound.
Anxious Stephanie took to social media to try to track down her beloved golden retriever, following a raid on her home.
And the tiny bundle of fun was reunited with his owners to the delight of all concerned.
And Stephanie said: “It is with the greatest pleasure me and my husband can let you all know we have our beautiful Barney back. We cannot thank you all enough you beautiful amazing souls thank you a million times over.”
Barney was recovered as police arrested a man in Barnham on Saturday evening (March 25).
A 25-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling and theft and possession of a controlled drug of Class A – other. He was bailed to return on April 24.
Stephanie added: “Barney needs some TLC and a nice bath but doing pretty good considering! He had a good sleep and has had a nice breakfast. We can’t go into detail on how we got him back at the moment as police gave him back to us.
“Thank you all again so much for all your efforts in getting our barney back we cant tell you how over joyed we are. We haven’t stopped cuddling him. We will get back to all the messages etc over the next couple of days as you can imagine there are a lot. Barney says thank you to all you lovely people out there that got him back to his mummy and daddy.”
