Brighton and Hove City Council is proposing changes to parking and waiting restrictions on the seafront under TRO-18-2026.
The proposed changes are part of the Brighton & Hove Seafront (Various Restrictions) Consolidation Order 2024 Amendment Order No. 202. The council is currently inviting feedback on the proposed traffic regulation order, which aims to update how several key coastal routes are managed.

How to Submit an Objection
Residents and road users have until 2 October 2026 to lodge formal representations or objections regarding the seafront parking changes. Any comments must be submitted in writing and should specify the grounds on which they are made.
Objections can be sent via email to TROComment@brighton-hove.gov.uk or by post to the following address:
Corporate Director City Operations
TRO Team, Room G40
Hove Town Hall
Norton Road
Hove, BN3 3BQ
Full details of the proposed Traffic Regulation Order and associated maps can be viewed on the Brighton & Hove City Council website. Following the closing date for objections, a report will be prepared for the council’s transport committee to determine whether the changes should be implemented as drafted or amended in response to public feedback.
