Bognor’s groovers and hip-swivellers are set to rock all over the world this weekend at a free music festival that celebrates sounds from around the globe.

Rox Around The World is being staged in Hotham Park on Saturday (May 13), and aims to create a celebration of cultures from around the world.

This year there is a procession starting from the London Road area at 2pm for about half an hour & then after a break, we do a session at the bandstand.

A spokesman said: “Rox Around the World is a free, family-friendly music festival, which is organised by students at Chichester University in conjunction with the Rox Music and Arts Charity.

“This year there is a procession starting from the London Road area at 2pm for about half an hour and then after a break, we do a session at the bandstand. The event will see live music and dance performers, interactive workshops, around the world, as well as foods, stalls, activities and parades.

This event is open to all and we hope that as many people as possible will come and join us. We actively encourage you to come and participate within the parades with a mask that reflects your own heritage or culture.”

Rox Music and Arts is a fully registered charitable company based in Bognor and is managed by a board of five unpaid volunteer trustee directors.

The aims and objectives have remained the same for a quarter of a century – to advance the education, awareness, and appreciation of the arts and allied creative industries and to provide opportunities for artistes to perform and exhibit.
