Popular Bognor pensioner Maureen O’Hara is celebrating this morning after scooping a whopping £15,000 playing bingo last night.

And the grandmother plans to enjoy an extended break on a trip to Turkey to help toast the win, which came from playing ‘mini-bingo’ which people play in between the main sessions at the town’s Crown Bingo

A Crown Bingo spokesman said: “Well done to our lovely customer Maureen who won £15,294! We are all so happy for you and hope you have a great time spending it!”

Maureen was flooded with congratulatory messages on social media with Gail Hadnett summing the feeling up when she said: “How wonderful. Have known Maureen for many years and she is a wonderful lady, chuffed for her. Go enjoy yourself!.”

And the overwhelmed OAP responded with a message thanking all of her well-wishers. She said:  “Thank you all for your messages, still hasn’t sunk in! Boy, have I got plans!”
