Retail giant Uniqlo has confirmed it will return to Brighton with a new store in Churchill Square, scheduled to open in Spring or Summer 2027.
The Japanese fashion retailer will occupy a 1,620 square metre unit on the Western Road frontage of the shopping centre. The site was previously home to H&M before that brand relocated to the former Topshop unit within the mall.
Spanning two floors, the new branch will be located in the city’s primary shopping district.
Uniqlo previously operated a branch in Brighton’s North Street that closed in June 2003.
According to Brighton and Hove News, the 2027 opening will increase the brand’s presence on the South Coast.
The exact opening date within the Spring/Summer 2027 window is expected to be announced closer to the completion of the fit-out.
