Capcom has released the first gameplay footage for Arjun, the latest brawler set to join the Street Fighter 6 roster. The trailer, which debuted on 7 September 2026, showcases the Indian fighter’s unique combat style and background as he prepares for his official launch.

Arjun brings a blend of earth-based attacks and traditional techniques to the competitive fighter. According to his official backstory, Arjun is a former Indian police officer who has become a fugitive after being framed for the murder of his partner. He is now on a quest to uncover the true culprit and clear his name.

His fighting style, described by developers as ‘Stegoro Yoga’ or ‘Bare-knuckle Yoga’, distinguishes him from the series’ other famous yoga practitioner, Dhalsim. While Dhalsim focuses on limb-stretching and fire, Arjun’s moveset incorporates elemental earth and air effects. Key moves identified in the trailer include ‘Arm of Justice’ and ‘Divine Pillar’, which allow him to manipulate the ground and air during combat.

will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and the Nintendo Switch 2.

Beyond his martial skills, Capcom has provided insight into the character’s personality and interests. Arjun is a dedicated fan of Bollywood cinema and enjoys fossil hunting in his spare time. Conversely, his character bio lists “undercooked biryani” as a primary dislike.

He is the second of four characters included in the Street Fighter 6 Year 4 Character Pass. He follows the previously released Filipino fighter, Yasmine. The remainder of the Year 4 roadmap includes Bosch and the highly anticipated guest character Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII, who is expected to arrive in early 2027.

Availability and Platforms

Players can access Arjun across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The character will also be available on the Nintendo Switch 2. There are several ways for fans to add the new fighter to their roster:

While the exact individual price in Fighter Coins for the UK market has not been specified, it is expected to align with previous DLC character releases. Capcom has not yet confirmed whether Arjun will receive a dedicated home stage set in India, though his trailer featured several vibrant backdrops reminiscent of the region.
