The South Korean publisher behind the acclaimed soulslike Lies of P has filed a new trademark that appears to confirm the long-anticipated direction of its upcoming sequel.
Neowiz submitted an application for “Wonders of O” with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on 10 September 2026. The title follows the naming convention established by the studio’s breakout hit, which reimagined the story of Pinocchio.
The “O” in the new filing almost certainly refers to Oz. Fans of the original 2023 game will recall a post-credits scene featuring a young girl in ruby slippers clicking her heels as she walked through the city of Krat, while a character named Paracelsus explicitly mentioned the name Dorothy.
Full-scale development underway
The trademark filing follows a series of updates regarding the franchise’s expansion. In May 2026, Neowiz confirmed during its Q1 earnings report that the sequel had entered “full-scale development”.
The developer behind the project, formerly known as Round8 Studio, underwent a corporate rebranding in August 2026 and is now known as Nough. The studio has seen significant commercial success with the franchise, with Lies of P surpassing three million copies sold as of last month.
According to the official development status, the team is building on the foundations of the first entry, which was praised for its atmospheric world-building and challenging combat. The franchise has already seen steady growth through the 2025 story expansion, Lies of P: Overture.

The EUIPO application for “Wonders of O” covers various categories, including electronic game services and virtual reality game software. The inclusion of virtual reality is a standard practice in broad trademark filings to protect intellectual property across all possible mediums.
No official release window or confirmed platforms have been announced for the project. It also remains unclear whether “Wonders of O” will be a direct narrative sequel featuring the original protagonist, or if players will take control of Dorothy in a standalone reimagining of L. Frank Baum’s universe.
Neowiz has yet to make a formal public announcement regarding the title, though the timing of the legal filing suggests that a reveal of the project’s official name and first look could be approaching.
