The American singer-songwriter Beck is set to release his 15th studio album, Ride Lonesome, on Friday 18 September 2026. To mark the launch, music fans across Sussex are being invited to a special regional listening event held in Brighton on the day of release.
The record marks a return to the acoustic-focused soundscapes of his previous acclaimed works, completing what is being described as a trilogy of records alongside 2002’s Sea Change and 2014’s Morning Phase.
Brighton Listening Event
Resident Music, located at 28 Kensington Gardens (BN1 4AL) in Brighton’s North Laine, will host a free playback session for the new LP. The event is scheduled to begin at 5pm on Friday 18 September.
While Beck himself is not scheduled to appear at the shop, the event offers local fans the first opportunity to hear the album in its entirety on a professional sound system. Organisers have confirmed that admission is free.

Production and Recording
Ride Lonesome was recorded at the historic United Studios in Hollywood, featuring Beck’s long-term studio band. The album sees a continuation of his partnership with producer and engineer Nigel Godrich, who handled the mixing for the project.
