Gymnast of the Week Sierra Brooks Dominates with Fourth All-Around Title

Five talented gymnasts from different universities have been recognized for their exceptional performances in their respective events. Sierra Brooks, a gymnast from Michigan, has been named Gymnast of the Week for the fourth time this season. She achieved an impressive all-around score of 39.775 and won two more titles, vault and bars titles, with scores of 9.975 and 9.950 respectively. Her consistency and skill in winning two or more titles in six meets this season have earned her this well-deserved recognition.

Michigan State’s Sage Kellerman has also been named Co-Event Specialist of the Week. She secured her first bars title of the season with a score of 9.950, tying her career high. Sage also finished second on vault with a score of 9.875. Her outstanding performances helped the Spartans remain undefeated in the Big Ten this season, making her a valuable asset to her team.

Another Co-Event Specialist of the Week is Nicole Riccardi from Ohio State. She exhibited exceptional skill and precision in earning impressive scores of 9.900 in both the vault and uneven bars. Nicole tied for the event title on the bars, showcasing her expertise, and her score of 9.900 on the vault also tied her career best. This is her first career Event Specialist of the Week honor, a well-deserved recognition for her outstanding performances.

Eva Volpe from Iowa has been named Co-Freshman of the Week. She has been consistently competing in the all-around for the seventh straight meet and achieved a score of 39.300. Eva matched her career-high vault score with a 9.850, led the team on bars with a 9.800, and captured a career-high score of 9.875 on floor. Her contributions helped the Hawkeyes achieve a season-high score on floor, proving her potential and talent.

Joining Eva as Co-Freshman of the Week is Kalea McElligott from Penn State. She scored a 9.8 or better in all events with a total all-around score of 39.250. Kalea exhibited her impressive skills in achieving a career-best score of 9.825 on bars and another 9.825 on floor. She also posted impressive scores of 9.800 on both vault and beam. This is her first career Freshman of the Week award, recognizing her outstanding performances and potential.
