Scrum on down! That’s the resounding message being trumpeted by chiefs at Bognor rugby club in their search for sponsors.
Bognor, who compete in the London & SE Division and play their home matches at the town’s Hampshire Avenue venue, are selling tickets to a sponsors’ raffle at their clubhouse on May 6, with the chance to win one of five main sponsorship prizes.
A spokesman said: “Tickets cost only £100, and this gets two people into the event. It was a success last year with great food from the Cardamom Bay, this year we having a hog roast, free entry drinks and DJ.
“We have five main prizes this year; the gold, silver and bronze winners from last year were Sargent Carpets, LM Consultants and the Mitchell Brothers. A ticket means you become associate member for the up coming season, you also get free drinks and food at the event.
“We have a rugby auction and the main prize draw, if you do not win in the main draw you still go into the club directory as a sponsor, this is published in the match day programme and on the club website.”
