Harvey Whyte grabbed the only goal of the game to send Rocks back to the top of the Ryman Premier table with a win over Harrow Borough at Nyewood Lane last night.
Whyte, who has endured a long spell on the sidelines through injury, popped up to slot home on the half hour mark to help record a 1-0 triumph. See TOMMY McMILLAN’s picture of Whyte’s goal, above.
Jamie Howell’s side stiffened their resolve in the second half, having to defend for their lives against a battling visiting outfit.
But they managed to hang on and chalk up the victory and in so doing leapfrog Havant at the summit.
Meanwhile. Bognor’s game at home to Leiston, scheduled for this Saturday, has been postponed due to the Suffolk side being involved in an FA Trophy fixture.
Howell’s are next in action at Folkestone Invite for a league game on December 17.
