Rocks get big boost from Premier League hopefuls Brighton

Premier League hopefuls Brighton have handed Rocks a boost as they bid to go back to the top of the Ryman Premier League table on Saturday.

Seagulls manager Chris Hughton has sanctioned a move that will allow exciting duo Dylan Barnett Connor Tighe to come under Jamie Howell’s wing for a month on loan.

Albion are sitting pretty at the top of the Sky Bet Championship although they could lose their berth if Newcastle United win at Wigan tonight.

Rocks spokesman Ian Guppy said:

“The club is delighted to welcome back Dylan and from last season and winger Connor Tighe, who both join on a month’s loan. Both will be in the squad for Saturday’s match at Folkestone. As always, we are extremely grateful for the support received from Brighton.”

The Nyewood Lane outfit are second in the Ryman Premier League but can head to the summit with a victory at Folkestone Invicta on Saturday. But this depends on results in and around the top of the table.

Current leaders Needham Market host Hendon, while Havant & Waterlooville are at home to Grays Athletic.

Meanwhile, Pagham enjoyed a 6-0 romp at home to Loxwood in the fourth round of the SCFA RUR Charity Cup last night.

The high-flying Lions face Eastbourne United at Nyetimber Lane this Saturday.
