Pace setting Bognor travel to Tonbridge tomorrow hoping to strengthen their place at the top of the Ryman Premier.
The league leaders land at Longmead on Saturday, aiming to keep pole position and a win would complete a double over a potential promotion rival in Tonbridge.
Bognor bounced backed to winning ways on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win at home to Kingstonian and as we approach the “business end” of the season, Jamie Howell will be hoping for a similar performance.
Buoyed by the return to fitness for Sami El-Abd and Darren Budd, Howell’s Rocks will travel to Kent in high spirits and will no doubt take a healthy away following with them.
One of the main positives for Bognor in recent weeks has been the form of Italian starle Lorenzo Dolcetti, who put in a fine performance on Tuesday night as he claimed the man of the match award.
Bognor will be without Pompey loanee Calvin Davies for the trip. Full-back Davies received a red card for violent conduct towards the latter stages of the Hendon defeat and he will be serving the first of a three-match ban.
Versatile Harvey Whyte has returned to first team action after he suffered knee ligament damage during pre-season and the tenacious youngster looks set to start in Kent.
The hosts, Tonbridge, have been plagued by inconsistency so far this term, having won just one of their last five in all competitions, but they will know a win against the league leaders may be the kickstart they need as they aim to live up to their pre-season billing as promotion contenders
