Lee Gladman of Friary ‘Z’ dazzled with his arrows in the catch-up week of the Friday Summer Darts League. He recorded the best game of the week with 18 and 19 darts (27.08 average) as the Zs left Squash Club snoozing with a 12-6 victory in division one.
Yet there was some sizzling from Squash Club’s Phil Westwood in that match as the oche jockey chalked up the highest out-shot of the action with 148. Other out-shots over a ton came from Mark Sheppard (Hunston Hares) 133 and Jamie Middleton (Newtown ‘C’) 130.
There was an abundance of 180s on show, too, with Dave Owens (POW ‘Z’) hitting two, while Lee Franklin (Friary ‘Z’), Gary Blackwood (BRSA Wanderers), Lee Gladman (Friary ‘Z’) and Jamie Middleton (Newtown ‘C’) each hit one.
And in division three, Joe Osman (BRSA Jokers) recorded 23 and 32 darts (18.22 av) to help his team overcome the Newtown ‘C’ challenge with a tight 8-7 triumph.
