Win a week at kids’ pet club in memory of much-loved Bonnie the bunny

Animal-loving children are being encouraged to put their names forward to win a place at a kids’ pet club offered in memory of Bonnie the bunny.

Bonnie the lop-eared rabbit, which was a much-loved pet of Rebecca Rowland, acted as “the perfect pet ambassador” for children’s workshops and clubs run by R and R Pet Services.

Now Rebecca has decided Bonnie’s memory should be honoured by giving away a complementary place and two free day passes to the popular club.

Rebecca, who owns and manages R and R Pet Services, explains: “Bonnie has been my friend for over six years, her laid back and patient nature made her the perfect pet ambassador for children’s workshops and clubs. She would always go up to everyone to say ‘hello’ and always wanted to be fussed.

“Sadly Bonnie passed away in September and her loss has been felt by the entire family, people and pets alike. She really was the star of our kids’ club and my inspiration for starting R and R. But the story does not end with her, whilst we will never find another soul like her we will continue our work and follow her example.

“We have a great team of pets at R and R and Easter kids club will still go ahead on the 26th March – 6th April. We have decided that for Easter kids club 2018 we are going to give away a one week place, worth £100, and two, one-day tickets worth £30; in memory of Bonnie and all the kids clubs and events that she did in her six-year career.

“We would like nominations, via the contact page on our website, of children age between five and 10 who would really benefit from our kids pet club. Maybe they want to be a vet when they grow up, have raised money for good causes, or maybe they’re a really nice young person who might not otherwise get the opportunity to go to a club in the Easter.

“Entries must be received by 13th December and the winners will be announced on the 20th December, on our website where you can find more information about the work we do and last years Easter kids club.”

R and R Pet Services is the one-stop venue for pet holidays, small animal grooming, educational workshops, runs a kids’ pet club, stages children’s parties, and their experts offer a hutch build service as well as offering tips and advice. And also offered is a dog-sitting service, though, for various reasons, the pet hotel doesn’t care for cats.

Owners taking time away from home for holidays, family visits or business no longer have to worry that their furry pets such as rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs aren’t getting the care they deserve. The hotel benefits from an insulated ceiling, new floor and custom worktops to house everything from leopard geckos and dwarf rabbits.
