Tributes paid as popular ex-teacher Dave Bolland dies

TRIBUTES have been paid to a former Bognor Regis teacher who died on Wednesday.

The death of extremely popular Dave Bolland, thought to be in his early-60s, has shocked the community which the affable former football referee served so well.

Dave was known and loved by many of the parents teacher sand children he met through his work at Nyewood Junior School in Brent Road and many of them took to social media to pass on their condolences at his passing but also share their memories of his popularity.

Dave was well known for his love of football and held many voluntary positions at local clubs and also did a stint at Pagham FC as club secretary.

“Can’t believe I’m waking up to the incredibly sad news that one of the nicest teachers my children have ever had & probably hundreds of other children too has passed away. Dave Bolland you were THE face of Nyewood…….RIP.”
