Families in Bognor Regis can get in the swing of things when Hotham Park gets a new adventure golf course. Work is set to start on the woodland-themed 18-hole course that will replace the existing putting and crazy golf facilities.
ISS Lifestyle hope to open later this year will include a picnic area and new site kiosk as well as increasing the size of the Hotham Park’s main car park to help accommodate extra visitors.
The company won the council’s greenspace contract in 2016 and say they have invested heavily in the outdoor recreation facilities across the Arun district, including re-opening of West Park Café in Bognor and a major refurbishment of the Buccaneer Bay Adventure Golf course at Norfolk Gardens in Littlehampton.
The refurbishment of Buccaneer Bay Adventure Golf was completed by Swindon-based specialist construction firm Hush Minoan Partnership who will also undertake the full construction of the new course at Hotham Park.
The woodland theme was carefully chosen to remain in keeping with the rest of the park, following consultations with both Arun District Council and Hotham Park Heritage Trust.
Justin Simpson, manager at ISS Lifestyle, said: “It’s an exciting time for everyone here at ISS, we have been working on the plans since we won the contract and we are delighted that work can now finally begin.
“ISS and Arun have worked in partnership for over 20 years and these new plans for the adventure golf course highlight ISS’s firm commitment to improve the facilities across the district for years to come.”
Arun District Council’s Paul Wotherspoon said: “I am looking forward to the opening of this fabulous new facility, which will be a great attraction for both our residents and visitors to enjoy.”
